South Korea Jeju air plane crash full video
At least 127 people lost their lives when an airliner crash-landed and veered off the runway at South Korea’s Muan International Airport, erupting into a fireball after colliding with a wall, the national fire agency reported on Sunday.
The flight, Jeju Air 7C2216, was en route from Bangkok, Thailand, carrying 181 passengers. It attempted to land at approximately 9 a.m. (0000 GMT), according to South Korea’s transport ministry.
This tragedy marks the deadliest aviation accident involving a South Korean airline in nearly 30 years and could potentially become the country’s worst air disaster, based on ministry records.
Footage from local media shows the twin-engine Boeing 737-800 skidding along the runway without visible landing gear before crashing into a wall, causing an explosion of flames and debris. Additional images reveal thick smoke and fire consuming sections of the aircraft.
