An OnlyFans creator has candidly shared how her life has drastically changed since launching her account, admitting she’s ‘lost everything.’

The subscription-based platform might be perceived as a way to make ‘easy money,’ but in reality, this can be far from the case.

While some OnlyFans creators rake in tens or even hundreds of thousands of dollars a month, most of these individuals are already well-known in other fields.

This prior fame allows them to leverage their public profiles to boost their accounts. However, for the average person starting from scratch, achieving significant success on the platform by selling provocative content is akin to winning the lottery.

Unfortunately, adult content creator Sarah learned this lesson the hard way after starting her OnlyFans account.

After nearly two years in the industry, she revealed that her initial perceptions have completely shifted. She had hoped to use the income from OnlyFans to fund a new business venture.

In a candid video posted to her TikTok page, she shared that this aspiration has not materialized.

She confessed: “I’m completely broke. I lost my house and, yeah, I’m just kind of failing at life at the moment.

“I feel like I’ve lost everything to do this job. I’ve lost friends, I’ve lost family members, and I’ve made myself financially cooked.”

In an interview with news.com.au, she elaborated on her struggles, stating: “The general societal opinion seems to be that adult content is easy money, but anyone who has spent significant time in this field knows about the market’s over-saturation and the immense effort required to maintain a fan base.”

While there are some high-earning accounts on OnlyFans, the median earnings on the platform are a mere $180 a month before taxes.

The top one percent of accounts garner around a third of all revenue on the platform.

Despite her unexpected challenges, the Australian creator remains optimistic about her situation.

She explained that her journey with OnlyFans has ignited a newfound passion for photography and creativity. Her experiences have also helped her build self-confidence. She expressed: “Doing OnlyFans opened the door for me to become more confident in myself and my artistic abilities. This job has inspired me to pursue both modeling and photography.”
