During ESPN’s pre-match coverage of Real Madrid’s game against AC Milan on Sunday (July 23), there was a horrific moment on live television when analyst Shaka Hislop fainted and collapsed.

The former football star, who has played as goalkeeper for English clubs Newcastle United and West Ham United, was chatting with co-organizer Dan Thomas on the pitch ahead of Sunday’s match when he began to stagger and fell forward.

Thomas looked visibly shaken in his eyes as his colleague fell face-first to the ground in front of him. “Shak,” Thomas shouted before calling for help. Several nearby employees rushed over before the cameras stopped the scene of the crime. Viewers who watched this terrifying moment worried for Hislop’s well-being, and many expressed their thoughts and prayers.
