Roman’s Pizza has pledged to thoroughly investigate a viral video showing a staff member cleaning a previously used pizza box, assuring customers that it will “leave no box unturned” to maintain its high standards. The video, which has sparked public concern, allegedly shows pizza boxes being reused after being wiped down.
In the clip, a female employee can be seen using a cloth to clean an oil-stained pizza box, raising questions about the hygiene practices at the franchise. Roman’s Pizza CEO, John Nicolakakis, responded to the incident, confirming that the company is taking the matter seriously and addressing the concerns raised by the video. The footage was reportedly taken at a franchised branch located in Daveyton’s Mayfield Square Shopping Centre. Nicolakakis emphasized that the company is committed to upholding its standards and is investigating the situation.
