Casino and hotel operator MGM Resorts has shut down several IT systems, including its website, to address a “cybersecurity issue,” the company said in a social media post on Monday.

The initial closure affected almost every aspect of the casino operator’s business. Hotel reservation systems, room reservation systems, electronic card systems and casino floors all appear to be affected by the outage.

The company’s email system also appears to have been taken down due to cybersecurity issues and has not yet returned.

The company said that as of Monday evening, its casinos were back online. But the reservation system that powers thousands of hotel rooms and the reservation system that controls their restaurant reservations still appear to be down, more than a day after the first reports of the incident began. The head is spread.

MGM operates thousands of hotel rooms in Las Vegas and throughout the United States. According to SEC filings, their Las Vegas hotel room revenue exceeds direct revenue from their casino operations. The company reported Las Vegas room revenue of $706.7 million in the quarter ended June 30, compared with casino revenue of $492.2 million in the same period.
