Speaking with News Corp, MGbility stated, "I feel personally very sorry. The breaking and hip-hop community stands behind her. She was just trying to bring something new, something original that represents her country." The judge went on to explain that while Raygun’s performance was creative, it simply didn’t meet the level of her competitors. "Her level was maybe not as high as the other competitors," MGbility added. "We're using a comparative judging system. Her competitors were just better, but it doesn't mean that she did really bad. She did her best." The Spirit of Breakdancing MGbility emphasized that breaking is about originality and innovation, bringing something fresh from one’s culture or region. Raygun, who drew inspiration from the movements of animals like kangaroos, was trying to contribute something unique to the competition.
