Emmanuel Macron a annoncé mardi le décès de l’ancienne ministre de la Culture à l’âge de 81 ans. Ami proche d’Edouard Balladur, qui a privatisé TF1, il a également été à la tête du ministère de la Défense en ex-Yougoslavie pendant la guerre.
François Léotard, ancien ministre de la Culture et ministre de la Défense, est décédé cet après-midi à l’âge de 81 ans. C’est Emmanuel Macron qui a annoncé la nouvelle sur son compte Twitter mardi.
« François Léotard a servi la nation et transmis les grandes idées de la culture. Avec sa mort nous avons perdu un esprit libre, un livre et une personne dévouée. Son Var natal, la France qu’il a défendue, la république qu’il aimait aujourd’hui subissent de grandes pertes”, a écrit le président sur les réseaux sociaux.
François Léotard a servi l’État et porté une grande idée de la culture. Avec sa disparition, nous perdons un esprit libre, un homme de livres et d’engagement. Son Var natal, la France qu’il a défendue, la République qu’il aimait éprouvent aujourd’hui une grande perte.
