Commencing Thursday on Apple.com and from retail locations after December 24, Apple will cease the sale of its Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2 in the United States. While other models are currently still available for purchase, the approval of an import ban could make them equally difficult to obtain. This potential ban encompasses the Apple Watch Series 6 and subsequent versions, as well as all models of the Apple Watch Ultra. Notably, sales of the Apple Watch SE will remain unaffected, according to Apple. Some retailers, including Best Buy, have indicated their intention to continue selling these devices.

Apple’s decision to withdraw one of its flagship products from the market is a response to an ongoing legal dispute with Masimo over the blood oxygen feature. Masimo CEO Joe Kiani has disclosed that Apple has not yet approached the company for such an agreement or settlement, but he remains open to both possibilities.
