Senate Staffer Ousted After Sex Tape in Hearing Room




A 24-year-old legal aide who allegedly filmed herself having sex with an unknown man in the Senate Judiciary Committee hearing room has been ousted from her job by Sen Ben Cardin
Aidan Mace Cheropsky is no longer employed by the United States Senate, the Maryland Democratic Party’s office said in a statement to NBC News that was first obtained by Politico on Saturday.

On Friday, the conservative news outlet The Daily Caller reported that a congressional staffer was shown on video having “sex with a stranger in a Senate hearing room. A video has been released.
It added that the video was shared in a “private group for gay men in politics.”

Conservative media subsequently claimed that Cardin’s legislative aide Mese Cheropski was one of the men in the video.
NBC News has not confirmed the authenticity of the video or the identity of the participants.

On Friday night, Mese-Cheropski published a post on LinkedIn in which he said that although he had shown “poor judgment” in the past, he “never showed respect for my workplace.
This was a difficult time for me as I was attacked for someone I wanted to support politically,” he wrote.

While some of my actions in the past have shown a lack of judgment, I love my job and would never disrespect my workplace.
Any attempt at characterization is a fabrication, and I intend to consider what legal options are available to me regarding these matters.
