Video : NASA just beamed back a cat video from space using a laser

A laser communications experiment flying aboard NASA’s Psyche mission sent video back to Earth from nearly 31 million miles away — and the short clip starred a cat named Taters.
This is the first time NASA has broadcast video from deep space using a laser.
In ultra-high-definition video, the playful orange tabby cat chases, among other things, the elusive red dot of a laser pointer as it moves across a couch.
Video of the cat beamed back to Earth from a flight laser transceiver as part of the Deep Space Optical Communications, or DSOC, experiment.
This technology could one day be used to quickly transmit data, images and video as humans push the boundaries of space exploration by venturing to places like Mars.
